I'm not asking (though "any ideas" might look like). This is
an experience i've shared. This might be interested to
someone, who might wish to improve asterisk capabilities.
Huawei SoftX3000 is 2 millon subscriber capacity
softswitch, used worldwide by GSM/CDMA/3G/NGN telcos,
supporting almost ANY protocol (voip & tdm). Having
asterisk interoperable with it would be good for asterisk.
There more and more telcos, willing to connect not over E1,
but over IP and looks like asterisk cannot do that (at
least in the particular case). I'll regret hearing that
asterisk development is not interested is this.
