Sorry to be a PITA, but I was just finishing up
merging my patch with slimey's patch in issue 9245
when I received the notice my patch was merged.

I can open another bug to cover the incremental changes
Needed (that are in 9245), but without the changes that
have already been commited (duplicated in 9245).

Or, If 9887 is re-opened, I can load up my hybrid of both
patches, or just the diff.

The key missing piece is section 6 of the patch in 9245
