To be clear, the intent was always that pedantic=yes be for options that were
completely unnecessary for interoperation with existing SIP phones but had to
be there to comply with the specification.  Remember that Asterisk has always
preferred interop OVER compliance, and pedantic=yes was supposed to emulate
the reverse functionality (that is, to force compliance with the
specification, even when that made phones misbehave).

If we have problems with pedantic=no with real SIP phones, then they should
certainly be fixed.
