I'm trying to get a simple list of codecs names like:
gsm
ulaw
alaw
g726aal2
adpcm
slin
lpc10
ilbc
g726
g722
Notice the missings ones: g729, speex and g723 (whatever I have not
them licensed or the supportting files installed).
My reasons are to build a dynamic list of codecs suitable for
a GUI configurator and at the same make sure they're usable. Not to
configure a peer without a proper translate path and also for self
teaching, to study some Asterisk code...
That could be useful for a convert-sound-files-and-avoid-transcoding
script that uses 'file convert' too, without using hacks like 'grep
-v', you know.
