? has zaptel been made cross compile ready ?

using ./configure   CC=arm-linux-gcc --prefix=/usr/local/arm-linux --build=i686-pc-linux-gnu --host=arm-linux
and
make KVERS=2.6.19-uc1   KSRC=/home/spowage/snapgear/linux-2.6.x

1st it is necessary to build menuselect with default configure/make THEN
try to run the above comands

2nd __LINUX_ARM_ARCH__ shows up undefined , though all the module.h files 'appear' in place

let alone the need to download and build and install the termcap and ncurses libs that seem useless for embedded apps,
one could almost write a book on the labors cross compiling

previous posts seem to suggest zaptel will cross compile, though efforts to use the latest zaptel, have stumped my efforts thus far.

any hints on making zaptel bend to cross compiling would be appreciated !
