This is most certainly in no way a development question.

You did not bother to tell us what version of Asterisk you are using, but I'll presume it's 1.2.x. In that case, if you had read doc/README.asterisk.conf, you would have seen the 'astlogdir' configuration option, which will allow you to do exactly what you want.
