I will be converting to the Asterisk trunk soon, and I want to be able
to switch back to previous versions if something goes wrong.
I want to do it with a script which will back a configuration and
restore it when required.
On looking at the contents in /etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf it looks the
contents are those that I have to backup. I also noticed that the
asterisk binary is in /sbin/asterisk.
Are there any other files I would have to look out during those backups?
Some of contents of the folders don't appear to be modified by the
main compilations.
Which ones can I ignore if the main binaries and libraries are the
ones changing most often?
[directories]
astetcdir => /etc/asterisk
astmoddir => /usr/lib/asterisk/modules
astvarlibdir => /var/lib/asterisk
astagidir => /var/lib/asterisk/agi-bin
astspooldir => /var/spool/asterisk
astrundir => /var/run
astlogdir => /var/log/asterisk
