Quite happy to move to the users list, but please remember that the first 
problem(s) encountered here are/were reliance on header files that exist in 
stock 2.6.18 (but are documented as deprecated) and don't exist in 
2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 as shipped by Redhat Fedora FC6 -- ie. they have changed 
state from deprecated to removed - so that aspect would appear to be 
developmental in nature.
