Are you using the same rec_config_oracle code for 1.2 and 1.4?
I believe there were a lot of internal changes to module loading
between 1.2 and 1.4.

If you haven't done so already, you should start afresh with the
MySQL module from 1.4 and re-apply your changes to talk to Oracle.
