[asterisk-dev] restart problem

hi
when i reboot my linux fc4 asterisk never starts i have entries in crontab
and thats not a problem as i have been doing that on few of our servers.
when i restart i can see .ctl and .pid files exists which should not exist
if asterisk is stoped and not running.
without deleting the files if i write "asterisk" on the CLI asterisk starts
running fine but not on the restart.
any ideas about what bug is it.
using asterisk 1.24 on fc4
