In order to help us with a patch, test it and confirm in the bug  
tracker that it works for you.
That is by far the best way to promote a patch.

Just that everyone wants something does not indicate to us that a  
patch is ready for commit.
Positive test results indicate to us that at least people have tested  
it, confirmed that it is working
on their system and that it does not cause harm.

Go to the bug tracker, report back. If you haven't tested, DO IT NOW!

And please don't put pressure on us after just a few days, asking why  
nothing is happening. There
are quite a lot of patches in the bug tracker that arrived earlier  
than this one, as well as bugs that we
have to fix. Those will have priority regardless.

Thanks for the understanding! Keep testing this patch and all other  
patches!
