Does anyone know if an effort is being made to port Asterisk to Windows?
I'm not talking about Cygwin but a native port.

I know some folks in Seattle/Redmond Washington area that have some
funding for IPPBX development on Microsoft SBS servers. Their original
investment was in a well known and successful Windows based IPPBX.
However the mothership of that company is difficult to share IP with.
Long story short...In an effort to get a jump on development they were
throwing around the idea of assembling a team to port Asterisk (Or some
other open-source) to Windows. They've asked me to do some research on
the topic and assemble the team once given the go-ahead. There is a
major opportunity in the small business arena to piggy-back an IPPBX off
of the millions of SBS implementations.

I'm still in the research stage but wanted to know if the funding exists
would this be a valid concept. That said, may I ask your opinion?
