[asterisk-dev] Call Generation

Hello gurus!
   
  I am going to develop a script to initiate calls to random numbers. I will be using the Asterisk Manager API's action "Originate". Is it possible to use the echo test on Asterisk as the channel on which to originate the call? Is it possible that i don't have to use a registered account/extension?
