Everyone say it with me now...
"Asterisk is not a SIP proxy!"
There is no legitimate reason for Asterisk to work in this way, and
trying to do breaks down in situations like forked dialing, dialing to
multiple channel technologies, 'bridging' applications like
chan_agent/app_queue, etc.
