[asterisk-dev] MWI in Asterisk 1.4 beta

Upon moving from Asterisk 1.2 to Asterisk 1.4beta3 the Message  
Waiting Indicator no longer works on any of our phones.  They are all  
Cisco 79XX series phones.  I have added the additional MWI keywords  
to the sip config file, such as:

sip.conf
-----------

[general]
checkmwi=5
;notifymimetype=text/plain

[4444]
subscribemwi=yes

I've tried notifymimetype both commented out and uncommented.   Has  
anyone else seen this problem, or is there something that I am  
missing in the configuration?
