Please hold off on doing any more work on this... I'm already making similar changes in the team/kpfleming/new_octasic_api branch. I'm planning on just using the 'Kbuild' name for the 2.6 kernel makefiles, since that way there is no confusion between 'makefile' and 'Makefile'.
