True, whoops, sorry I was thinking of tun. Doubt it would work properly
because of the physicalspace -> userspace -> physicalspace thunk. Dome, give
it a try and let us know (on -users :-)

That's wrong, tap devices behave like normal ethernet interfaces. The 
only difference is that they are realized in user space. I don't use 
TDMoE, but I have a openvpn setup with ethernet bridging. Everything is 
working over tap devices just as with normal interfaces: DHCP, IPv6, 
wake-on-lan... 

I think TDMoE should be no problem.
