There's no reason to be pedantic.  It's a well known fact that jitter buffers 
also employ some kind of PLC, whether it be interpolation or injecting silent 
frames or bits from "yankee doodle dandy."  It's part of the design, since 
what do you do if you need to play out a frame that hasn't come in yet?
