[Asterisk-Dev] Answering Machine detection

Hi guys,
Can anyone help me Answering machine detection using Asterisk. I have already tried the "Background" application but I want something more reliable -- like the PAMD supported by Dialogic boards. Is PAMD supported on Digium or Sangoma hardware? If yes , how can it be used through Asterisk?
We want to implement a Predictive Dialer based on Asterisk PBX so its really important to have a very accurate Answering Machine detection system.
