You should post this on -users it's considered ignorant to post -user

Even half-megabit "lite" cable modems are fine for a few users. Using GSM my
calls are 40-50k a second. To optimize the traffic, you should set Asterisk
to 95% of the max upload and download speed. Determine your max upstream and
downstream using dslreports.com speed tester. Use the AstShape script:

http://www.krisk.org/astlinux/misc/astshape

to set the variables "DOWNLINK" and "UPLINK" to 95% of the results of the
dslreports.com test. Make sure tos=0x18 in iax.conf and sip.conf, delete any
other tos= references.
