[Asterisk-Dev] current cvs-head seg fault while compiling

it's just been pointed out to me, via a mantis entry i submitted, that 
asterisk 1.2 and CVS HEAD needs gcc 3.0 and higher to compile. while rich's 
issue has mysteriously gone away, i wonder if anyone else is trying to 
compile asterisk with gcc 2.95 or 2.96 and has faced problems.
