[Asterisk-Dev] Need help for developing application like "musiconhold" . . .

Hi Friends,

I want develop asterisk application "videoonhold" like "musiconhold".
In which a video file will be played on the other side, decided in to
asterisk configuration files.
But i am facing problem with format of the stream.
>From where I should start this development.
Please help me . . . .
