[Asterisk-Dev] Get number function

I require a more general "GetNumber" function where the caller can enter 
a andy number followed by # or * when complete. Although I can in theory 
use the extension matching, I would like something less restrictive 
where any number can be entered.

Before I write a new function, I'd like to check whether anything 
similar has already been written?
