Jeremy,

I have no intention of creating any hardware. I have read the 
datasheets, and the the source code. Its when I could not find
references in the datasheets to registers refered in the source
code, did I post this question.

Yes, I am only a software programmer, and know nothing much
about hardware, but I am trying to learn,

I started out by reading the "Zaptel under the hood" article,
and am trying to pick up where it left off.

There is no documentation on the driver, and I thought that I could
perhaps add some more, and learn some interesting stuff along the way.

I had no idea that this portion of the code is for the privilaged few
only.

Frankly, I have spent around 2 weeks looking at the wctdm,c code, as
I own a TDM400P board, and have only managed to make very little sense
of it. I was about to give up and move on, but I thought I'd try the 
list first.
