[Asterisk-Dev] Receive calls without be registered

There is a flag that allows on the fly registrations where you don't
have to be listed in the sip.conf file to get the phone to register

[general]
autocreatepeer=yes

But this will only allow the phone to register with that asterisk box.
More stuff has to be done to connect the "phone" through the asterisk
server to the PSTN. Namely Asterisk has to connect to a PSTN "gateway"
of some kind.

Is this what you were asking?

If the phone is not registered then asterisk does not know where to send
the phone calls to when a call is received. You have to tell asterisk
your "address" so it knows where to send the SIP setup information.

Unless you are asking about or providing C code, this is a question for
the asterisk-users list. Please take it there.
