My understanding of the problem was that there were "phase" differences
between the clocking of the trunk and the clocking of the contained calls.
This "phase" gets thrown away by the current trunking implementation, so
the call timestamps get decimated down to 20msec accuracy.
So at first glance that's all you reall need to include - 5 bits per call.
