  What program did write you a "can't build" or "can't compile" error message?
  I believe it's not an error message and without one, we can't help you.

  I compiled zaptel on sarge with 2.6.11 kernel few days ago from CVS Head.
  But not sending an error message is exactly the same as sending a mail with
  "HELP!" in the subject and body. Nobody will reply.
