I don't think it's all that likely, given that your changes are Java-specific.
Why not just write a library interface that stores your Java-specific
cookies directly into the library instance and leave the Asterisk APIs alone?

Or more succinctly:  if other projects don't need to modify their APIs to
interface to Java, why should Asterisk be any different?
