[Asterisk-Dev] Best practices for logging to console as Verbose vs. Warning?

I've been coming across little tidbits of information that are useful to
expose for debugging a running dialplan - eg. termination reasons in
Voicemail and such. Generally I've been passing these statuses back as
verbose_2 and submitting patches to bugs.digium.com. However, I sense there
should be some logic behind what to present.

Is there an established preference/best practice to differentiate between
verbose and warning? If not, I propose that exceptional conditions -
including modifying the current values of context, extention or priority -
be elevated to warnings. Likewise configurations that would result in
unanticipated behaviours be warnings. All other call progress informaiton be
verbose.

That said, is there also any established logic between the different levels
of verbosity?

Thoughts?
