[Asterisk-Dev] Event to indicate Agent login

Hello,

My apologies for my last [first] post, pretty obvious I am a newbie. 
Anyway, I am writing an application to monitor the API Management port.
I need to get the IP address and agent ID when an iaxcomm client logs
onto Asterisk.
Is the "PeerStatus" event  followed by a Management command the only way
to get the IP address?
