Stock Kernel?

Are you referring to Linux or Asterisk. Both can be fixed.

45 Mbps in, 64 Mbps out. Not difficult

If Linux can't do it, then fix it.
If Asterisk can't do it, then I will fix it.

I thought the consensus was that the current problems are that the stock

kernel has a hard time guaranteeing interrupt latencies well below 1ms. 
The actual cpu utilization seems not to be too bad. 

It would be a neat trick.
