[Asterisk-Dev] asterisk reload/hang problem

so im experiencing this asterisk bug where every now and then asterisk hangs 
during a reload.  

we have a fairly large sip.conf which is automatically generated (i think 
every 10 minutes or so), and each time we have to reload asterisk so these 
changes take affect.  in the most part we are just adding users.  

every now and then asterisk starts to hang, allows logins to the CLI sometimes 
allows some commands (for instance, sip show peers) to be sent to the CLI, 
but stops accepting new connections via the telephones.  the only way to 
resolve this is to do a full asterisk restart.  

any ideas how i should go about debugging this to find the root cause?
