[Asterisk-Dev] Newbie Question

Just starting to investigate * with Digium TE410P cards for use on DMS PRI's
.  We are looking at moving from Dialogic cards to these cards but I was
wondering if the ability to choose which number is dialed could be read from
a db based upon certain criteria (time of day, caller, etc)?  Is there any
documentation that exists to show where functionality of * can be enhanced
by user functions?
