at least, i am not that M$ fan, but even in SMB environments
exchange servers are one of the most popular team/calendar/mail server
due to lack of comparable unix/linux solutions (we tried:
openexchange/samsung contact/opengroupware and other suites and as result we
use exchange :-( )
we already wrote some line of code for handling M$ exchange / active
directory
information (treated as simple LDAP data !!) in our unix/linux environment
for handling unified logins/mails/homes etc.. of course we can write some
more
lines to get asterisk's config sync'ed with our AD but a somehow global
solution
would be really fine.
when you think of the extra ordinary amount of money to spend for M$ live
communication server, an asterisk based solution might much more powerful
than the M$ based one...
think about it..
