If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all....
Mr. Spowage,
Criticism can be helpful, or useless. If you want things to change, make some suggestions or code them yourself. Simply complaining about the state of things is somewhat unprofessional. The documentation for Asterisk is also an opensource project. Why not contribute to that if you feel like it? Or just hang on a bit while someone else gets it done.

Subject: [Asterisk-Dev] channel driver sample
shoving a dsp on a pci bus can easily take care of a zillon fax calls.
a trivial way to do this is via the voicepump chips and a pci chip.
why channel driver development is not an active issue ? arent there
any h/w hackers in the crowd ?
http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/onlamp/2004/01/22/asterisk2.html explains
sip call routing in 5 seconds compared to the hours it takes to find a grain
of sense in any of the other documentation that seems to assume you
already know the source code inside out !
well we all have some hidden agenda's i guess
thx
