Indeed, the Local channel is what is used when the call_forward of the
ast_chan is set, and what I let be replaced by another type of channel if
the call_forward included a ":" in my patch on bug 730.

Since I am quite new to *, and really just had a bad itch (we couldnt use
another sip-proxy that relied on the pstn-gateway being able to forward
properly) I didnt really think things through, or examine what Local channel
is - so an explanation would be welcome (perhaps my patch is completely moot
and the same problem can be solved more easily?).
