Okay. Here goes nothing:

For those of you who are so quick to judge: We have been trying to
actively recruit new bug marshals. If you don't like the way things are
run currently, volunteer and make a difference.

Snap judgements are easy to make, when you're not the ones who have to
make the decisions. The problem that we are facing is that the bug
tracker, which was meant to track BUGS for asterisk, as turned more into
a repository for feature requests and feature adding patches. I do not,
for one, feel this is a place for these, and neither do most of the
other bug marshals i've spoken to about this. We need another system
for handling such requests/patchces, and leave the patches that are on
the bugtracker to be bug fixing patches, and bug reports.

If you would like to volunteer to help us out, join #asterisk or
#asterisk-bugs on IRC, and find myself, bkw_, or drumkilla (sorry for
not asking you first, but you're one of the few who can promote).
Please do not bug kram about this as he's busy enough with keeping up to
date as it is.

If someone would like to volunteer to develop a system where we can
better track feature patches and feature requests, feel free to do so,
and drop us a line, and we'll see what we can do to get this
implimented.

That's all for now - thanks, and I hope I didn't offend anyone. :)
