[Asterisk-Dev] echo can in chan_modem_i4l

Hi!

Is it a possible way to get echo cancellation on chan_modem_i4l-channels
if including zaptel/mec2.h and creating a couple of glue-functions for
that?

The mec2.h-routines are using short datatype and should therefore be
possible to use for asterisk channel data, right before converting to
alaw and sending out to i4l, right?

What do I need to think about coding this glue-functions?

If using the included functions for training the taps, what if I'm not
receiving any echo at all, will the echo state machine (like in zaptel.c)
be in mute:t state until hangup?
