I vote for *NOT* including this in Asterisk.

It's cute and nice and probably works, but instead of 10 different 
application commands like

   MySQL(...)
   PostgreSQL(...)
   SQLite(...)
   Informix(...)
   Oracle(...)

we need something better, more generally working. There is actually talk 
about this, maybe you get in contact with anthm or bkw on 
irc.freenode.net, #asterisk-dev, #asterisk
