Minor Meetme gripe:

  - if "a" is specified as an option on the application, the 
join/leave sounds are not played.  If this is intentional, I would 
think that adding "q" is just as easy, and makes this a 
user-controllable behavior.  Granted, there are no "a"dmin functions 
yet, so this is not critical since there is no reason to use the "a" 
option at this time (at least, there doesn't appear to be any code 
that does admin functions, so I'll assume it's Yet To Be Written.)
