Patch Set 4:

We are going to abandon this review and just apply -fno-partial-inline across all the branches. Moot now, but just FYI there was a reason I didn't apply the AST_INLINE_API macro, I just forgot cause it's been so long.  Also, please note: The bug also occurs using plain inline, therefore changing force_inline to inline won't help.
