I did not investigate further due to the sheer scope of failures so I do not know what it was at the time (and the problem occurred for other things as well). I have created the issue, though, and it is in the queue to get looked at for Python 3 support itself. I also added a link back to this review so when Python 3 support is worked this can potentially be used as a base.

Since this can't be included as it is and Python 3 support is on our radar I'm not sure keeping it open will accomplish much I'm afraid. Would you be against closing it as there is now an issue?
