In concept, this should be a great improvement especially if we put an index on the endpoint column.  Unfortunately, the data model does currently allow an aor to be referenced by multiple endpoints and changing this in 13 just isn't possible.  My suggestion would be to pose limiting the contact-endpoint relationship to 1:1 to the asterisk-dev mailing list for a possible inclusion in Astersik 14.
