Some more insight on this situation:

I removed the Local dial for Caller B and this still happens. (However, removing one of initial ConfBridges makes the issue go away).

Likewise, the issue also does not begin until Record() starts recording in the other listen-only channel.

I've modified the sample extensions.conf to reflect these things.

It seems that this issue is not related to ConfBridge + Local channels, but rather ConfBridge + Record(), at least in this specific case.

In certain other similar scenarios, Asterisk usually crashes within a minute as CPU usage climbs to 100%.

Replacing ConfBridge with ChanSpy in places where possible is enough to make the issue disappear, hence why this seems to be a bug with app_confbridge.
