While attempting to build the kernel module I get "Error code 1"

I will include pastebin links of the steps I followed as its easier than trying to paste everything in here.

As a side note, I've also attempted to build from the ports tree and it appears to be broken in the ports tree as well. That's why I came to the source directly.
