The provided backtraces show no issue with chan_pjsip. They do show operations (chan_sip and dnsmgr) blocked waiting on DNS resolution to occur for various addresses. Is your DNS having issues?

> Security Level: None
> Components: Channels/chan_pjsip, Channels/chan_sip/General
> Affects Versions: 16.17.0
> Environment: Linux cloud 4.15.0-111-generic #112-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jul 9 20:32:34 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

> Since upgrading to 16.17.0, every few days it appears that chan_sip and/or chan_pjsip stop responding. In the debug logs I see events show up like a REGISTER coming into Asterisk, or an INVITE coming into Asterisk, but there is no response. The rest of the Asterisk core continues to function.
> Essentially, no calls can be processed. Running sip reload fails to reload chan_sip. Restarting Asterisk seems to be the only solution.
