Michael Cargile created ASTERISK-28905:
------------------------------------------
Summary: Wrong Download Link On https://www.asterisk.org/download-asterisk-thank-you
Key: ASTERISK-28905
URL: https://issues.asterisk.org/jira/browse/ASTERISK-28905
Project: Asterisk
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: None
Components: . I did not set the category correctly.
Affects Versions: 17.4.0
Environment: Your Website
Reporter: Michael Cargile
Severity: Trivial
I did not see an option under Components for issues on your download sites but your contact page says this is the correct place to report this.
Just went to get the download link for latest Asterisk 17 version on this page:
https://www.asterisk.org/downloads
When I clicked the link it auto started the download of Asterisk 17 which is fantastic, but I actually needed the link so I could download it to my server. So on the follow up page:
https://www.asterisk.org/download-asterisk-thank-you
when I right clicked where it said:
"Your download should begin in a few seconds. If not, download now"
and copied the link. When I pasted that link into my terminal I got this:
http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/asterisk/asterisk-16-current.tar.gz
which is for Asterisk 16. I easily changed the link to the correct version and it downloaded fine. Looks like someone forgot to update a link on your website. Figured I would let you guys know so others do not have the problem.
