Currently, we've had significant success with switching people to DAHDI timing who are running AGIs on loaded systems.  This should probably be on the Wiki somewhere, as this is now a known issue with pretty bad effects 8-\

In the interim, we're looking at how much of an effort it's going to be to rewrite everything using fastagi (a lot), and when we can do it (not soon).

As I've been unable to duplicate this in some simple code, I've been wondering if the poll() call is being picked up in the child process, leaving the parent process blocked. That would explain why it's not complaining about multiple timerfd events being received.

Does that sound plausible to you?  I can't think of how to FIX it though.
