The default res_odbc.conf file triggers the following error:

res_odbc.c:526 load_odbc_config: The 'pooling', 'shared_connections', 'limit', and 'idlecheck' options were replaced by 'max_connections'.

because it still includes "share_connections" and "limit" in the "\[sqlserver\]" definition.  Commenting these out removes the warning.
