Indeed it does. Since the problem seems to lie within your test bed (might just be running an old version of Asterisk) and unless you want to supply some of the info I mentioned we'll probably close this issue out then.

The other problem you mentioned is a bug and I've created a separate issue (ASTERISK-26822) to track it.
